A violent serial shoplifter from a family of high achievers attacked a security guard who caught him stealing a bottle of vodka, putting him in hospital after kicking him in the head.

Daniel Wardle, 25, punched the guard to the ground and then kicked his prone victim’s head ‘like a football’ before running away as the man lay unconscious on the ground with a broken jaw.
